Sónar Istanbul celebrates its 10th anniversary by announcing its first artistCharlotte de Witte, a defining force of global techno.

For ten years, Sónar Istanbul has been a powerful signal broadcast from the meeting point of continents — where sound, technology, and forward-thinking culture collide. From day one, the festival has challenged boundaries, reshaped formats, and connected Istanbul to the global language of electronic and digital culture. In 2026, Sónar Istanbul celebrates 10 years of influence, experimentation, and evolution.

On 10.11 April, Sónar Istanbul returns to Zorlu PSM for a special anniversary edition presented with the support of %100 Müzik — and it opens this milestone year with a bold statement. The first artist announced is Charlotte de Witte, one of the most powerful and defining figures in contemporary electronic music. As a global icon of techno and a symbol of the underground’s rise to the world’s biggest stages, her presence sets the tone for what this 10th year represents: scale, ambition, and cultural impact.

This anniversary edition is not just a look back — it’s a step forward. Across two days and nights, Sónar Istanbul transforms the city into an intense flow of sound, visuals, and ideas, where cutting-edge performances meet immersive experiences and unexpected collisions. Rooted in its legacy yet driven by what’s next, the festival continues to redefine how electronic music and digital culture are experienced — placing Istanbul firmly at the center of Sónar’s global universe.
